Gợi ý & tài liệu
I think children are encouraged to learn more when they feel that learning is meaningful, achievable, and appreciated. If a child only studies because they are afraid of punishment or exams, their motivation may not last very long. But if parents and teachers connect lessons to real life, praise effort, and give children some freedom to explore their interests, learning becomes more enjoyable. For example, a child who likes animals might become more interested in science if they can read about wildlife or visit a museum. In terms of goal setting, I would say parents usually have a slightly greater influence, especially when children are young, because they shape children’s daily habits and attitudes at home. However, teachers can also be very powerful role models because they can notice a child’s strengths and guide them toward realistic goals. Ideally, both should work together instead of sending mixed messages. Physical punishment is much less common nowadays, at least compared with the past, because many people understand that it can damage children’s confidence and create fear rather than discipline. Teenagers especially need guidance, not just pressure. Setting goals is important for them because it gives them direction during a confusing stage of life. Goals can help teenagers manage their time, build self-discipline, and feel a sense of progress, even if their goals change later.
