I think the best games for developing children’s intelligence are the ones that make them think, plan, and communicate, rather than simply react quickly. For example, puzzles, chess, memory games, building games like Lego, and strategy-based board games can all help children practise problem-solving, patience, and logical thinking. Even role-play games can be useful because children have to imagine situations, negotiate with others, and use language creatively. That said, I don’t think games alone are enough. Talking to children is probably one of the most powerful ways to develop their intelligence because it builds vocabulary, curiosity, and confidence. When adults ask open-ended questions like “Why do you think that happened?” or “What would you do next?”, children learn to explain their ideas instead of just giving short answers. So I would say conversation and play should go together. Intelligence is especially important in jobs that involve complex decisions, such as medicine, engineering, research, law, and technology. However, being very intelligent can sometimes be a disadvantage if a person cannot communicate well or work with others. In the workplace, emotional intelligence and humility matter too. A brilliant person who constantly corrects colleagues may create tension, even if their ideas are good. As for artificial intelligence, I think it may match or even surpass humans in certain tasks, such as analysing data, translating languages, or detecting patterns. But human intelligence includes emotion, moral judgement, imagination, and lived experience, which are much harder to copy. The main risk is that people may rely on AI too much and stop thinking critically, or allow important decisions to be made by systems they don’t fully understand. So AI can be extremely useful, but it needs careful control and human responsibility.
