Yes, I’d say adventurous activities are becoming more popular in Vietnam, especially among young people and urban professionals. In places like Da Lat, Sapa, Ha Giang, and Phong Nha, people can try trekking, canyoning, motorbike trips, cave exploration, and other outdoor activities. Social media has also played a big role because people see beautiful landscapes and exciting experiences online, so they want to try them for themselves. That said, these activities are still not as mainstream as in some Western countries, partly because many Vietnamese families are quite cautious about safety and prefer more relaxing forms of travel. I think people are drawn to adventurous activities because they offer a break from routine and give them a sense of achievement. When someone climbs a mountain or completes a difficult hike, they may feel more confident and alive. However, adventure also comes with risks, so I think people should prepare properly, follow safety instructions, and not treat danger as entertainment. As for rescue costs, I think the government should cover emergency rescue in life-threatening situations, because saving lives should come first. But if someone ignores clear warnings or behaves irresponsibly, they should probably pay part of the cost. Facing challenges can build resilience, problem-solving skills, and courage, but the downside is that people may overestimate their abilities and put themselves or rescuers in danger.
