Gợi ý & tài liệu
In Vietnam, the most popular water sports are probably swimming, kayaking, surfing in places like Da Nang and Mui Ne, and more recently stand-up paddleboarding. In coastal cities, people also enjoy jet skiing and snorkeling, especially in tourist areas such as Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. I think water sports are attractive because they combine exercise with a sense of relaxation. Many people simply feel calmer near rivers, lakes, or the sea because the scenery is open, the air feels fresher, and it gives them a break from crowded city life. I definitely think children should learn swimming at school, especially in a country with long coastlines, rivers, and frequent flooding. It is not just a sport; it is a survival skill. Rivers are also connected with many jobs, such as fishing, boat driving, river tourism, transport, agriculture, and environmental management. For tourism, rivers can be extremely important because boat trips, floating markets, and riverside restaurants give visitors a strong sense of local culture. Using rivers for city transport has clear advantages: it can reduce traffic congestion, lower pressure on roads, and offer a more scenic journey. However, it also depends on weather, water levels, safety systems, and whether the river is clean enough. On a global level, ocean pollution is a serious problem because plastic waste, chemicals, and oil spills damage marine ecosystems and eventually affect human health through the food chain. Oceans are still underexplored mainly because deep-sea conditions are dark, cold, high-pressure, and very expensive to study. In the future, I think we may need to use oceans more for renewable energy or food, but this has to be done carefully, otherwise commercial exploitation could create even bigger environmental problems.
