What practical skills can young people teach old people?

Young people can definitely teach older people practical skills, and technology is the most obvious example. For instance, they can show them how to use online banking, video calls, maps, or health apps. But beyond technology, young people can also teach skills like basic English for travel, new ways of exercising safely, modern cooking ideas, or even how to compare prices and services more efficiently. I think the key is not to assume older people are slow learners, because many of them are very capable if the explanation is patient and relevant. The best way for young people to teach older people is to make the lesson hands-on. Instead of giving a long explanation, they should demonstrate the skill, let the older person try it, and then repeat the process if necessary. When people want to learn something new, they should first identify their goal, find reliable sources, and then practise in small steps. For example, if someone wants to learn photography, they should not start with complicated theory; they should learn one function at a time and use it immediately. In education, I do think showing is often better than telling, especially for practical skills. When we see how something works, we understand the process more clearly and remember it for longer. In my country, many people like watching videos to learn things because videos are convenient, visual, and easy to replay. However, videos are most useful when learners actually practise afterwards, otherwise they may feel they understand something without really being able to do it.
