Are actors or actresses very interested in their work? Why?

I think many actors and actresses are genuinely interested in their work, because acting is not just about being famous or attractive on screen. To perform well, they have to study human behaviour, understand emotions, and repeat scenes many times until they feel believable. Of course, some people may be attracted by money or celebrity status, but those who last in the industry usually have real passion and discipline.
