Yes, I think employees should definitely have their own goals, as long as those goals are aligned with the company’s direction. Personal targets give people a sense of ownership and help them measure their progress, rather than just waiting for instructions from their manager. For example, a salesperson might aim to improve customer retention, while a designer might want to build a stronger portfolio. When employees have clear goals, they are usually more motivated and more willing to take responsibility for the results. At the same time, bosses need to reward employees in a thoughtful way. Money is important, of course, but recognition, promotion opportunities, flexible working hours, or professional training can be just as valuable. A good reward should match the employee’s contribution and also make them feel respected. This is similar to children receiving allowance money: they should learn to divide it between saving, buying small things they enjoy, and perhaps spending a little on gifts for others. That helps them develop financial discipline from an early age. In my country, shopping is closely connected to the economy because consumer spending supports businesses, creates jobs, and keeps money moving. Young people today tend to buy things like smartphones, clothes, cosmetics, games, and experiences such as concerts or travel. As rewards, they often prefer practical or personalized gifts, for example headphones, gift cards, or something related to their hobbies. Friends also play a big role in shopping choices because people often trust recommendations from their social circle more than advertisements. Overall, shopping is more popular now because online platforms make it convenient, but I think it is only good for the economy when people spend responsibly rather than buying things they do not need.
