In my country, the most popular theatre shows are probably musicals, comedy plays, and traditional performances. Big musicals attract a lot of attention because they feel like a complete package, with acting, singing, dancing, costumes, and impressive stage design. Comedy is also very popular because people often go to the theatre to relax, not necessarily to watch something heavy or experimental. Traditional shows still have an audience too, especially among older people and tourists, although they may not be as fashionable with young people. Getting tickets really depends on the show. For famous productions or shows with well-known actors, tickets can sell out quickly and the good seats are often quite expensive. But for smaller theatres or less commercial plays, it is usually not too difficult to find tickets, especially if you book online in advance. I do think theatres need to make more effort to attract younger audiences, for example by offering student discounts, promoting shows on social media, and creating performances that deal with modern issues in a more relatable way. As for acting as a career, I think many people are attracted to it because it offers creativity, recognition, and the chance to express different sides of themselves. A good actor needs emotional range, confidence, discipline, and the ability to accept criticism, because acting is not just about talent; it involves constant practice and rejection. The downside is that it can be an unstable profession. Many actors do not have regular work, and even successful ones may face pressure from public attention, long working hours, and competition for roles.
