Yes, I think punctuality is still very important to most people, especially in professional settings. Being on time shows that you respect other people’s schedules and that you take the appointment seriously. Of course, in some cultures or among close friends, people may be a bit more relaxed, but if someone is always late, it can damage their reputation and make them seem unreliable. In my view, a good way to record things is to use a digital calendar or a reminder app, because it can send notifications and sync across different devices. Busy people often rely on these tools, along with to-do lists, because it is easy to forget small tasks when your mind is full of deadlines and responsibilities. That said, some people still prefer writing things down in a notebook because it feels more personal and helps them remember better. Between a work-related appointment and an appointment with a friend, I would say the work one is usually more important because it may affect your career, your income, or other people’s work. However, that does not mean friends should be treated carelessly. If someone deliberately misses an appointment because they do not like the person they are meeting, I think it can happen, but it is quite immature. It would be better to cancel politely instead of wasting someone’s time. As for family history, I do think people should remember it, at least to some extent. It gives people a sense of identity and helps them understand the values, struggles, and experiences that shaped their family. We do not need to memorize every detail, but knowing where we come from can make us feel more connected to our relatives and our culture.
