Gợi ý & tài liệu

Yes, I do think children should learn to play a musical instrument, but I wouldn’t make it a heavy obligation. Music trains children to listen carefully, coordinate their body and mind, and stick with something even when progress is slow. For example, learning the piano or guitar can teach discipline in a more enjoyable way than simply doing extra homework. It also gives children a healthy emotional outlet, especially for those who are shy or not very confident with words. That said, I think the key is choice. Some children may love music, while others may express creativity better through drawing, dancing, making videos, or building things. Drawing, for instance, helps children notice details, experiment with colours and shapes, and turn imagination into something visible. If adults force one “creative” activity too strictly, children may lose interest, so schools and parents should provide opportunities rather than pressure. More broadly, creativity is useful far beyond the arts. Artists often get inspiration from daily life, personal emotions, nature, or even social issues shown in news reports, where pictures and videos can make events feel more immediate and powerful. Many jobs now require creative thinking, such as advertising, design, teaching, software development, filmmaking, architecture, and even business management. So, learning an instrument can be valuable, not only because it creates musicians, but because it helps children become more patient, expressive, and imaginative people.
