Gợi ý & tài liệu
Families often keep things that carry emotional value rather than things that are expensive. For example, many people keep old photographs, wedding rings, handwritten letters, medals, religious objects, or furniture passed down from grandparents. These items become part of the family story, so even if they are not useful in daily life, they remind people where they come from and what earlier generations went through. I think the main difference between the past and today is that people used to value durable and practical possessions more, such as land, jewellery, tools, or handmade furniture, because life was less consumer-driven. Nowadays, people still treasure family objects, but they also keep digital memories like videos, messages, and online photo albums. In a way, the value has shifted from physical survival and status to personal identity and memory. Museums usually keep objects that have historical, artistic, scientific, or cultural significance, such as paintings, ancient coins, traditional costumes, fossils, weapons, and documents. Technology has changed museums a lot because visitors can now use audio guides, virtual reality, interactive screens, and online exhibitions. This makes museums more engaging, especially for young people, although I still think seeing a real object in person has a special power that a screen cannot fully replace.
