Yes, I think people should prepare before giving advice, especially if the issue is important. Advice can influence someone’s choices, so it should not just be based on a quick reaction or personal bias. For example, if a friend asks me about changing jobs, I would first ask about their goals, financial situation, and reasons for leaving. Without that background, even well-meaning advice could be misleading. Asking strangers online can be useful in some situations because you may get different perspectives, especially from people who have had similar experiences. However, it can also be risky because strangers do not know your full context, and some people speak with too much confidence even when they are not qualified. So I think online advice should be treated as a starting point, not as a final answer. People whose job is to give advice, such as teachers, counsellors, consultants, or doctors, usually need to be patient, objective, and good listeners. They should not rush to judge, and they need the ability to explain complicated things in a clear way. If you ask too many people for advice, though, you may become confused because everyone has different values and priorities. In the end, advice is helpful, but the final decision should still come from your own judgement.
