I’d like to talk about rice, which is probably the most important plant in my country. It grows in many parts of the country, especially in lowland areas and river deltas where there is plenty of water and fertile soil. In the countryside, you can see huge green rice fields stretching for miles, and during the harvest season they turn a beautiful golden colour. Rice is mainly used as a staple food. People eat it almost every day, usually with vegetables, meat, fish, or soup. Apart from that, rice is also used to make noodles, rice paper, rice cakes, and even some traditional drinks. In many rural areas, growing rice is not just a job but a way of life that has been passed down through generations. This plant is important because it supports both the economy and the culture of the country. Millions of farmers depend on rice farming for their income, and rice exports also bring in a lot of money. More importantly, rice is closely connected with family meals, traditional festivals, and national identity. So, although it may look like a simple plant, it plays a central role in people’s daily lives.
