One piece of furniture at my home that I’m quite attached to is a wooden study desk in my bedroom. It’s not particularly fancy, but it has a simple, practical design with two drawers on one side and enough space for my laptop, books, and a small desk lamp. I got it from my parents when I started university, so I’ve had it for several years now. I mainly use it for studying, working on my laptop, and sometimes reading or making plans for the week. During the pandemic, it became even more important because it was basically my little workspace at home. I spent hours sitting there attending online classes, writing assignments, and preparing for exams. Over time, it became more than just a desk; it became a place where I could focus and feel productive. This desk is special to me because it reminds me of an important stage in my life. It has a few scratches and marks, but I don’t really mind them because they make it feel personal. In a way, it represents discipline and progress for me, because many of my goals were planned and achieved while sitting at that desk. So although it may look ordinary to other people, to me it has a lot of sentimental value.
