One park I really like in my city is Tao Dan Park, which is located right in the centre, not far from some of the busiest streets. Although it’s surrounded by traffic and shops, the park itself feels surprisingly peaceful, so it’s a good place to escape the noise of the city for a while. I often go there with a close friend of mine, especially in the early evening after work or on weekends. Sometimes we just walk around and chat, and other times we sit on a bench with a drink and watch people doing exercise. There are always groups of elderly people practising tai chi, children running around, and couples taking photos, so the atmosphere is quite lively but still relaxing. What I like most about the park is that it has a lot of tall trees, wide paths, and shaded areas, which make it feel cool even on hot days. It is not a very modern or fancy place, but it has a calm, familiar charm. For me, it’s the kind of place where I can slow down, clear my head, and feel connected to everyday city life.
