One subject I really enjoyed studying at school was biology. I studied it mainly in high school, especially in grades 10 and 11, when it became more detailed and practical. Before that, I had learned some basic science, but biology was the first subject that made me feel genuinely curious about how living things work. In this subject, I learned about the human body, plants, cells, genetics, and ecosystems. I still remember doing simple experiments in the lab, like looking at onion cells under a microscope and learning how photosynthesis works. What I liked was that the lessons were connected to real life, so it didn’t feel like I was just memorising facts for an exam. I enjoyed biology because it helped me understand myself and the world around me better. For example, when we studied the digestive system or the immune system, I suddenly realised how complex and efficient the human body is. Also, my biology teacher was very enthusiastic and explained difficult ideas in a clear, visual way, which made the subject much easier to follow. So overall, biology was not only interesting but also useful, and that’s why it became one of my favourite school subjects.
