Customers would also be encouraged to bring their own bags and reusable cups. This law would affect almost everyone, but mainly businesses and consumers in urban areas, where plastic waste is produced on a massive scale. It would be enforced through regular inspections, fines for companies that keep using banned plastics, and incentives for businesses that adopt greener packaging. For example, restaurants that use eco-friendly materials could receive tax reductions or public recognition. I think this law is badly needed because plastic pollution has become a serious problem in many cities and coastal areas. Drains get blocked, rivers become polluted, and wildlife can be harmed by plastic waste. More importantly, people often know the problem exists, but they do not change their habits unless there is a clear rule. A law like this would push both companies and individuals to take environmental responsibility more seriously.
