One situation that really stands out was when I received a high score on a university presentation. I had prepared a 15-minute talk about sustainable tourism, and I put a lot of effort into researching the topic, designing clear slides, and practising my delivery so that I wouldn’t sound like I was just reading from a script. After the presentation, my lecturer congratulated me in front of the class. This happened during my second year at university, right after I finished speaking and answering a few questions from my classmates. She said my presentation was well-structured, confident, and easy to follow, which made me feel incredibly proud. The congratulation was meaningful because I used to be quite nervous about public speaking. In the past, I often spoke too quickly or forgot my points, so hearing positive feedback from someone I respected felt like a real milestone. It showed me that my hard work had paid off and gave me more confidence to speak in front of others in the future.
