One occasion that comes to mind was a disagreement between two of my close friends from university, Minh and Daniel. They were working together on a group presentation for a marketing class, and although they usually got along well, they clashed over how the project should be organized. Minh wanted to divide the work equally and prepare everything early, while Daniel preferred to be more flexible and make changes closer to the deadline. This happened about two years ago, a week before the final presentation. The disagreement started because Minh felt Daniel was not taking the assignment seriously enough, especially since he kept postponing his part. Daniel, on the other hand, felt Minh was being too controlling and not giving him enough freedom to contribute in his own way. So, it was not really about the slides themselves, but more about different working styles and expectations. In the end, they resolved it by having a calm conversation after class. I was actually there, and I suggested they write down exactly what each person was responsible for and set two small deadlines before the final one. That made things much clearer. Daniel apologized for leaving things too late, and Minh agreed to be less demanding. Their presentation went quite well in the end, and I think the experience helped both of them understand how important communication is when working with friends.
