One risk that really stands out was when I decided to leave my stable part-time job at a language centre and apply for a marketing internship instead. I had to quit my job first because the interview and training schedule clashed with my teaching hours. I was also worried that I might not be good enough, since I didn’t have much practical experience in marketing. Fortunately, the result was much better than I expected. I got accepted, and during the internship I learned how to write social media content, analyse customer data, and work with a real team. After three months, the company offered me a longer position. I felt incredibly relieved and proud because the decision had pushed me out of my comfort zone. Looking back, it was risky, but it helped me grow both professionally and personally.
