A historical period I would really like to learn more about is the Renaissance in Europe, especially between the 14th and 17th centuries. It was a time when art, science, literature, and philosophy developed rapidly, and people began to question older ways of thinking. Famous figures like Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Galileo, and Shakespeare were active during or around this period, so it feels like a turning point in human history. During this time, there were major changes in how people understood the world. Artists started to use more realistic techniques, scientists challenged traditional beliefs, and thinkers became more interested in human potential and individual creativity. I first learned about the Renaissance at school, mainly through history lessons and documentaries about famous paintings and inventions. I remember being fascinated by how one period could produce so many influential ideas and works of art. I would like to learn more about this period because it seems to connect many areas that I’m interested in, such as art, science, and culture. Also, I think studying the Renaissance can help me understand how societies change when people become more open-minded and curious.
