One of my favorite books from childhood was The Little Prince. It’s a short story about a young prince who travels from planet to planet and meets different characters, each of whom teaches him something about adults, friendship, loneliness, and love. Although it looks like a simple children’s book, it actually has quite deep messages, especially the idea that the most important things in life are not always visible. I first read it when I was around nine or ten years old. My older cousin gave me a copy for my birthday because she knew I liked stories with drawings and imagination. At first, I was attracted by the illustrations and the strange little planets, but after reading it, I became really attached to the main character and his gentle way of seeing the world. It was my favorite because it made me feel both curious and emotional. I loved the sense of adventure, but I also liked the quiet sadness in the story. As a child, I didn’t understand every message, but I could feel that the book was special. Even now, when I think about it, it reminds me of how imaginative and sensitive I was at that age.
