One gift that really stands out in my memory is a handmade photo album I gave to my younger sister on her eighteenth birthday. It wasn’t an expensive present, but it was very personal. I collected photos from her childhood, family trips, school events, and some funny everyday moments, then arranged them in order with short notes and little captions beside each picture. I gave it to her last year, a few days before she left home to start university in another city. I wanted to give her something she could take with her and look at whenever she felt homesick. At that time, she was excited about becoming more independent, but I could also tell she was a bit nervous about leaving our family. I chose that particular gift because my sister is quite sentimental, and she values memories more than expensive things. I thought a photo album would remind her that, even though she was starting a new chapter, she still had a lot of love and support behind her. When she opened it, she actually became a little emotional, which made me feel that I had chosen the right gift.
