Gợi ý & tài liệu

One time I lost something quite important was during my second year at university, when I misplaced my wallet on a city bus. It was a Friday afternoon, and I was travelling from campus to a part-time tutoring job. I remember being in a rush, because I had stopped to buy a coffee and then jumped onto the bus just before it left. When I arrived at the tutoring centre and reached into my bag, I realised my wallet was gone. At first, I panicked a little because it had my student ID, bank card, some cash, and a small photo of my family inside. I immediately checked every pocket of my bag, then called the bus company’s lost property office. After that, I retraced my steps by going back to the coffee shop and even waiting at the bus stop in case someone had handed it in nearby. I also cancelled my bank card just to be on the safe side. In the end, I didn’t get the wallet back, but the experience taught me to be much more careful with my belongings. It was significant to me not only because of the money and cards, but because it made me feel vulnerable and disorganised. The family photo was irreplaceable, so losing it felt surprisingly personal. Since then, I’ve always kept my wallet in a zipped pocket and checked my things before getting off public transport.
