One piece of work that I felt extremely satisfied with was a research presentation I prepared during my final year at university. It was about how social media affects young people’s study habits, and I had to present my findings to my lecturer and classmates. It was not just a simple slideshow; I had to collect data, analyse responses from a small survey, and then turn the results into a clear and convincing presentation. I did this piece of work because it counted towards my final grade, but also because I was genuinely interested in the topic. At that time, many of my friends were struggling to concentrate because they kept checking their phones, so I wanted to understand the issue more deeply. My lecturer helped me by giving feedback on my research questions, and a few classmates helped by filling in my survey and giving honest opinions. What made me feel so satisfied was that I managed to turn a broad topic into something focused and practical. I spent a lot of time revising the structure, improving the visuals, and practising my delivery. In the end, my lecturer praised the presentation for being well-organised and relevant, which made me feel that all the effort had paid off. More importantly, I felt proud because I had pushed myself beyond just doing the minimum requirement.
