A film I’d really like to see again with my friends is *Oppenheimer*, the biographical drama directed by Christopher Nolan. I watched it in the cinema when it first came out, and even though it was quite long and intense, I found it completely gripping. The film follows J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist behind the atomic bomb, and it mixes history, politics, science, and personal conflict in a very powerful way. If I had the chance to watch it again, I’d probably go with a few close friends from university, especially the ones who enjoy serious films and historical stories. I think it would be more enjoyable to watch it with them because we could discuss the moral questions afterwards, like whether scientific discovery can ever be separated from its consequences. Most people I know said the film was visually impressive and extremely well acted, although some found it a bit difficult to follow because of the non-linear storytelling. A few friends also said it felt more like an experience than just a normal movie, especially because of the sound design and the dramatic scenes in the cinema. The main reason I’d like to see it again with friends is that I feel I would notice more details the second time. There are so many layers in the dialogue, the characters, and the historical background that one viewing isn’t really enough. Also, watching it with friends would make the experience more meaningful, because we could share our reactions and talk about the bigger ideas behind the film afterwards.
