Describe a difficult thing you did and succeeded

One difficult thing I did and succeeded at was preparing for my first public presentation in English at university. It was a group project, but I was chosen to present the main findings, which made me extremely nervous because I had never spoken in front of a large audience in a foreign language before. At first, I struggled a lot. I kept forgetting my points, my pronunciation was not very clear, and I spoke too quickly whenever I felt anxious. To deal with this, I broke the presentation into small sections and practised each part repeatedly. I also recorded myself, listened back, and asked a friend to give me honest feedback. It was quite uncomfortable, but it helped me notice my weaknesses. On the day of the presentation, I was still nervous, but once I started speaking, I managed to stay calm and follow my structure. I made eye contact, used simple but clear language, and answered two questions from the audience. In the end, our group received a high score, and my teacher said my delivery was confident and well-organised. I felt really proud because it was not just about getting a good mark. It showed me that I could overcome fear through preparation and persistence. Since then, I have become much more willing to take on challenging tasks instead of avoiding them.
