Describe a person who persuaded you to do something

I’d like to talk about my older sister, who persuaded me to apply for a part-time job when I was at university. At that time, I was quite hesitant because I was worried that working while studying would be too stressful. I also lacked confidence and thought I wasn’t ready to deal with customers or work in a professional environment. My sister didn’t pressure me, but she had a very convincing way of explaining things. She told me that even a simple job could help me become more independent, improve my communication skills, and understand the value of money. She also shared her own experience of working part-time and said it had made her much more mature. What persuaded me most was that she focused on the long-term benefits rather than just the salary. In the end, I applied for a job at a small café near my campus, and I got accepted. At first, it was challenging because I had to manage my time carefully, but after a few weeks, I became more confident. Looking back, I’m really grateful to my sister because she pushed me out of my comfort zone in a supportive way. That experience taught me responsibility and helped me grow as a person.
