A trip I’d really like to make again is a short visit I took to Da Nang and Hoi An about two years ago, during the summer holiday. I went there with two of my close friends from university, and although it was only a four-day trip, it felt much longer because we packed so many memorable things into it. During the trip, we spent the first day in Da Nang, walking along My Khe Beach, eating seafood, and riding motorbikes around the city in the evening. Then we went to Hoi An, which was definitely the highlight for me. We wandered through the ancient town, tried local dishes like cao lau, took lots of photos by the lantern-lit streets, and sat by the river just talking for hours. Nothing was particularly luxurious, but everything felt relaxed and genuine. I’d love to make that trip again because it reminds me of a very carefree period in my life. These days, everyone is busier with work and personal responsibilities, so it’s harder to travel together. If I could do it again, I’d probably stay a bit longer, explore more quiet cafes and beaches, and simply enjoy that same sense of freedom and friendship.
