One time when the electricity suddenly went off was about two years ago, during a really heavy summer storm in my hometown. It happened in the evening, just after dinner, when I was at home preparing for an online presentation. The wind was extremely strong, and then all of a sudden, the lights flickered a few times and the whole house went completely dark. The power cut lasted for around three hours, which felt much longer because it was hot and there was no fan or Wi-Fi. At first, I was quite annoyed because I still had work to finish, but then my family and I lit some candles and sat together in the living room. We talked, checked the weather updates on our phones, and even played a simple card game to pass the time. Looking back, I actually felt a mixture of frustration and calm. I was stressed because my plan was disrupted, but at the same time, it gave me a rare chance to slow down and spend proper time with my family without screens. So although it was inconvenient, it turned into a surprisingly memorable evening.
