One of the most interesting buildings I saw during a trip was the Lotus Temple in New Delhi, India. I visited it a couple of years ago when I was travelling around the city with some friends, and it immediately stood out because it looked completely different from the usual historical monuments I had seen before. The building is shaped like a giant white lotus flower, with large marble petals opening outwards. From a distance, it looks very elegant and almost futuristic, but when you get closer, you notice how peaceful and simple the design is. There is a wide pathway leading up to it, surrounded by gardens and pools of water, which makes the whole place feel calm and spacious. I later found out that it is a Bahai House of Worship, and people from all religions are welcome to enter and pray or meditate there. What impressed me most was that the building does not rely on heavy decoration. Instead, its beauty comes from its shape, symmetry, and the atmosphere around it. I think it is interesting because it combines architecture with a strong message of peace and unity. It is not just a building to look at; it is a place that makes you slow down and reflect. For me, that made it much more memorable than many other tourist attractions.
