A person who immediately comes to mind is my aunt, Mai. She lives in a small town near the coast, and she has always been very fond of nature. She isn’t an environmental scientist or anything like that, but she genuinely cares about the natural world and tries to protect it in practical ways. What she does most often is organize small clean-up activities in her neighborhood, especially along the beach and around a nearby river. She usually invites her friends, neighbors, and sometimes local students to join her. Besides picking up litter, she also separates recyclable waste and reminds people not to throw plastic bags or bottles into the water. At home, she grows vegetables, makes compost from food waste, and avoids buying too many single-use products. She does these things almost every weekend, and some of her habits, like recycling and saving water, are part of her daily routine. What I admire most is that she never sounds aggressive or judgmental. She simply leads by example, so people around her slowly become more aware of their own behavior. I feel a lot of respect for her because she shows that protecting nature doesn’t always require big speeches or dramatic actions. Small, consistent efforts can make a real difference, and her attitude has definitely influenced me to be more environmentally conscious.
