One story I read recently was “The Little Prince” by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Although it is often described as a children’s tale, I think it is really a thoughtful story for adults as well. It is about a young prince who leaves his tiny planet and visits different worlds, where he meets strange grown-ups who are obsessed with power, money, routine, or status. Later, when he comes to Earth, he meets a fox who teaches him about friendship, responsibility, and seeing beyond appearances. I read it about a month ago, mostly in the evenings before going to bed. I had heard people mention it many times, so I finally decided to read it properly instead of just knowing the title. I liked it a lot because the language is simple, but the meaning behind it is quite deep. Some parts felt a little sad, but in a gentle way, not depressing. What I learned from the story is that relationships become meaningful when we spend time and care on them. The fox says that we become responsible for what we have “tamed,” and that idea stayed with me. It reminded me not to judge people or things only by their surface appearance. For me, the story is memorable because it uses a fairy-tale style to talk about very real human values, such as love, loyalty, and emotional connection.
