A foreign country I’d like to stay in for a short period of time is Japan, especially Tokyo. I first got to know Japan through films, travel vlogs, and also from some Japanese classmates I met at university. What impressed me most was how the country manages to combine modern technology with traditional culture, like temples, tea ceremonies, and seasonal festivals. If I had the chance to go there, I would like to work for a few months in a language school or maybe do an internship in a tourism-related company. I think it would be a great opportunity to improve my communication skills, experience Japanese work culture, and explore the city in my free time. I’d also love to visit places like Kyoto and Hokkaido because they seem completely different from Tokyo. However, I would only want to stay there for a short period, maybe three to six months. The main reason is that Japan can be quite expensive, and I imagine the work culture might be very intense compared with what I’m used to. So, for me, a short stay would be perfect: long enough to learn something meaningful, but not so long that I feel overwhelmed or homesick.
