Do you usually use a pen or pencil?

I usually use a pen, mainly because most of my writing is for quick notes, to-do lists, or signing documents. A pen feels more practical and permanent, so I probably use it much more often than a pencil in daily life. The last time I bought a pen was a few weeks ago, when I picked up a pack of black gel pens from a stationery shop. I’m quite particular about pens, actually, because I prefer ones that write smoothly and don’t smudge easily. If someone gave me a pen or pencil as a gift, I’d think it was simple but thoughtful, especially if it was a good-quality one. I don’t often write long pieces by hand anymore, but I still use a pen quite regularly for jotting things down, so it would definitely be useful.
