What's your favourite animal? Why?

My favourite animal is probably the dog, mainly because dogs are incredibly loyal and expressive. They seem to understand people’s moods, so when you’re tired or stressed, a dog can really lift your spirits. I also like the fact that they encourage their owners to be more active, because you have to take them for walks regularly. If I had a pet, I’d prefer to keep it indoors most of the time, especially in a city, because it’s safer and cleaner. Of course, I think pets still need outdoor time to get fresh air and exercise, but I wouldn’t want them wandering around on their own. I’ve had a pet before. When I was younger, my family kept a small dog, and it was very affectionate, although looking after it was a big responsibility. In Vietnam, I’d say dogs are probably the most popular animals, followed closely by cats, because they’re common family pets and they fit quite well into both houses and apartments.
